This is not the bedtime story you think you know.

Haunted by the murder of her grandmother and possessed by the need for vengeance, Alix La Rouge has dedicated her life to hunting werewolves. Now her name is whispered with awe and fear by those who know what dangers lurk in the dark.

But when she is assigned to protect a remote village in the mountains of France from a new breed of monster, Alix is thrust into an uneasy alliance with Cyrus, a werewolf created by the grace of the moon to protect mortals. And he is more dangerous–to her life, and to her heart– than any monster she’s ever faced.

Bound to the same mission but divided by centuries of hate and distrust, Alix and Cyrus discover the greatest threat isn’t the strangely altered creatures lurking in the shadows…but the darkness in their hearts.

If they do not forge a new path and learn to trust one another, they’ll fall victim to the legacy of blood and silver. Because this is no fairytale.

And not everyone gets a happily ever after.

Blood and Silver is a heartwrenching, standalone romance full of intrigue, sizzling tension, and a love worth dying for. It is a companion novel to The Gwen St. James Affair.

REVIEWS

Think badass female Sherlock Holmes with some pride and prejudice era vibes and propriety, and some Dresden files good vs. evil vibes. And add secret magic, elves, dwarves, and the lost fae! This was such an enjoyable read! You easily fall in love with the characters. The world building was beautiful and easy to get into. Highly recommend!

What a fun ride. I enjoyed the world building & Gwen is just great. The "Dresden Files meets Parasol Protectorate" is perfectly accurate. I can't wait for more of this series!

If you love the Victorian-era fantasy of the works of Charlie Holmberg, and the intersection of magic and crime in the vein of the Dresden Files, then this book is for you! It's a fast-paced and enjoyable read that was immersive, rich, and engaging.

This was a deliciously extraordinary story! The main character, Gwen and an orphan girl secured my interest from the very beginning. The supporting characters from the orphan girl's brother to the Scotland Yard Inspector were almost as compelling. The author writes such a powerful story, I will do all I can to secure the rest of the books in the series, when I am able.

What an absolute page turner. I binged 85% of this book within a day. The story is truly captivating, filled with magic, mystery, and suspense. I quickly fell in love with Lady Gwen, her humor, compassion, bravery, and eccentric personality - makes her a rich and captivating character. The rest of the characters were not only artfully crafted, but contributed a wide variety of personalities, adding depth and drama to the mix.
